My name is Emma, and I was diagnosed with scleroderma two years ago. At first, I didn’t think much of it. What was a few skin patches here and there? But as time went on, the patches increased in number and size, and the pain started to become unbearable. My joints and muscles ached constantly and I would become so tired so easily. My doctor had done all he could to help me, but my condition slowly worsened. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t win the battle against this disease. I eventually lost the fight, becoming a prisoner of its merciless grip. Scleroderma took everything from me and I am left with nothing but pain and defeat.
