Neuroendocrine Tumours: My Story

Neuroendocrine Tumours: My Story

Growing up, I was a healthy and happy girl, but when I was 15 years old, my life changed drastically. I was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumours. At first, I was in shock. I didn’t want to believe that I had this cancer, but eventually I had to accept it.

The next few months were emotionally turbulent. I felt so much pain and sadness that it was hard to keep going. I often thought about the worst-case scenario. I doubted if I would ever get better, and if I did, what would my life look like then?

But slowly I started to regain hope in my journey. I found people who could help me and guide me in the right direction. With their help and my determination, I started to feel better and to look towards the future. I thought about the positive things I wanted to achieve and the strength I had to make them happen.

It’s been several years since I was diagnosed, and while I still have to take care of myself and stay on top of my health, I’m doing much better now. All my hard work and determination have paid off.

I learned a lot during my fight against Neuroendocrine Tumours. But most importantly, I learned that anything can be achieved no matter how hard it may seem. I am proof of that.
