The diagnosis came as a shock, I had ovarian cancer. Fear washed over me like a tidal wave, consuming my thoughts and emotions. I had come to terms with the fact that I may not have long to live, but I refused to give in to the disease. I decided to be a fighter.
The treatment was more grueling than I could have imagined. The pain was unbearable and the nausea was unrelenting. Still, I kept going and kept fighting, doing my best to stay upbeat and never give in to the disease.
I was determined to make it all the way to the end, and, against all odds, I did. I beat the cancer and it felt like a miracle. Now, I am filled with a hope that things will only get better. I am grateful to be alive and will cherish every day of life going forward.
