My name is Bella and I have Bronchiectasis. It is something I have had to live with for most of my life, but I am determined to succeed despite it.
When I was first diagnosed, I felt like my entire world had been turned upside down. I was confused and scared as to what my future would hold. But with the support of my family and friends, I was able to come to terms with my diagnosis.
Every day for the past several years, I have had to modify my lifestyle to accommodate my Bronchiectasis. I was prescribed several medications, and I changed my diet to reduce inflammation. Exercise was also key to reducing my symptoms.
Living with Bronchiectasis is not easy, but with the help and support of friends and family, it’s definitely doable. I’m grateful for my loved ones who have been there for me, and for the medical professionals who have partnered with me to help manage my condition.
Treatment:
My treatment has been an ongoing process, but I have been able to find significant relief through certain medications. I also make sure to get plenty of rest.
Caring:
Caring for my Bronchiectasis is a must. I have regular pulmonary rehabilitation appointments, where I discuss my symptoms and get advice from my healthcare team.
Struggles:
Although I have found ways to manage my Bronchiectasis, living with it still poses many challenges. Some days are harder than others, and I often need to take breaks and practice self-care.
I strive to lead a full and healthy life, despite the obstacles that come with Bronchiectasis. I am determined, and I will never give up hope.
