I remember the day when I first found out I had Vulval cancer. I had been having some symptoms and decided to get checked out. My doctor then told me the words I had been dreading this entire time. I had a cancer that was already in stage 3. I felt overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do with myself.
Diagnosis
The next step was getting an MRI and CT scan to get a better understanding of my condition. After the scans were completed, they confirmed this cancer was stage 3 and needed to be treated as soon as possible. After further tests, it was determined that surgery was the best option for me.
Emotions
I was scared and felt like my life was spinning out of control. I was scared of the unknown and how my life was going to change. All I wanted to do was cry, but I knew I had to stay strong and keep fighting for myself.
Treatment
The surgery went well, and I felt relieved that it was over. I was starting to feel better and was focusing on my recovery. I was determined to beat this cancer and get back to living my life again. I started going to physical therapy and was gaining strength. I was feeling much better each day and was slowly getting back to my normal life.
My journey with Vulval cancer was a long and difficult one, but I am so glad I was able to fight it and overcome it. I am now cancer-free and living my best life.
