I was always ambitious, driven, and wanting to do more with my life. But then my restless legs syndrome set in. It was like my legs had a mind of their own, constantly needing to move and producing a tingling feeling that never seemed to end. I was no longer able to focus and had trouble sleeping, which of course caused anxiety. I felt like I was losing control and worse, wasting away my dreams. But I was determined to manage my condition. I exercised, modified my lifestyle, and spoke to medical professionals in order to cope and relieve my stress. And eventually I got to a place where I am still ambitious, but with a deeper understanding of my limits and needs.
