Gonorrhoea: My Story

Gonorrhoea: My Story

It all started when I noticed a burning sensation when I went to the bathroom. I had no clue what it was and I brushed it off as nothing. That weekend I decided to go to the doctor, who revealed I had gonorrhoea. I felt embarrassed and ashamed. I couldn’t believe it had happened to me.

The doctor prescribed me with antibiotics to treat the infection. I started feeling better, but the pain didn’t go away as quickly as I hoped. I started to worry that I had damaged something more serious and I was scared to return to the doctor.

Thankfully, after a few weeks the pain subsided and I returned to the doctor to get a check-up. The doctor praised me for being so vigilant and my tests came back normal. I was relieved and I vowed to get tested regularly and practice safe sex.

This experience has taught me a valuable lesson in taking care of my health, and I’m grateful for the support of my doctor. The memory of the pain and embarrassment will remain, but I’m stronger for it now.
