It’s been a while since I’ve been able to go out with my friends, and have a good time. I have this condition – Flatulence. It’s caused me a lot of embarrassment and made me stay at home for fear of what’s going to happen when I’m out in public.
I had the same concerns when I made the decision to go to my doctor for a check-up. I was afraid that if I even brought it up, the doctor would laugh or freak out. But I knew I needed to talk to someone about it, so I mustered up the courage and went.
I told my doctor, who was surprisingly understanding and non-judgmental. He gave me a few tips on how to manage it and how to avoid episodes. He also prescribed me a medication that was designed to treat my condition.
At first I was a bit hesitant to take the medicine. I was worried about potential side effects and the fact that I wasn’t sure it would even work. But I soon discovered that the medicine was helping a lot. I had fewer episodes and no longer had to worry as much when I was out in public.
My friends were so relieved to see me out and about again. I still had the occasional episode, but I was better prepared to deal with it. I could now go out and have fun with my friends and not be so embarrassed about it.
Mobility has been a huge benefit for me. I’m no longer tied to my home, and I can go places I normally wouldn’t have been able to before. It’s such a relief to be able to have a normal life, and I’m so grateful to my doctor for helping me.
